House is empty.

I went upstairs and looked at my empty room and this is really disgusting. Theres like a body print on the wall....lolwtf. My sister has it too, she should srsly come back over here and clean it.

Daisys not feeling well, and sleeping in a corner somewhere. Had to have Ethan phsyically pick her up and move her out of the way of the movers. Now we're just periodically checking on her to make sure she's still breathing >.>

I freaked out because she lifted her head and on her mouth it looked like this nice pool of blood was forming so I screamed and lifted her head up and it turns out she was just drooling in her sleep 8|

I miss my computer already.

Im currently playing FFVI to keep myself occupied. Ive always wanted to see why Kefka is "omfg he's kewler than Sephiroth!1 Sepirot is a panzy!11" The game has nice music :3

We have been provided 2 hrs to do so, or 1 as I am looking at the schedule now (Doesn't seem like much is going on in that panel room so might just stay the full 2 hrs).

Meet and greet
Get to know who is there, what robots came and what are they. Just a brief hey this is me and these are my bots and such. Very similar to how we do fursuit meet and greets.

List of the events we plan on doing there
Was planning on running a few games with the robots and these are a few we have in mind.

-Races (any robot is eligible) Was thinking of creating the lines on the ground out of painters
tape so we do not destroy the carpet.

Something very similar to this photo. The balloons in the photo seem to add to the contest, such as making it more of an obstacle course. Which we could just add that to start with. We could lure our aibos to the other side with an aid of a pink object. Aibos running on wifi are also able to compete. I will have a router there so we can hook onto it and be able to control our aibos. I might just do the wifi race separately if others find it unfair :).

-Obedience Test
Have a sheet with prescripted stuff to say to the aibo and see how it responds. Whoever gets the most checks wins. Was thinking of having about 10 commands or so :)

-Tag your it
Wanted to place either a balloon or ball/sweater of some sort on one of our bots, be a pleo or aibo. And whoever touches the object first wins :). I would want the object to be moving so it is a bit harder.

-Costume/outfit contest
Being a con where fursuits are around why not :). Outfits will be judged at the meet or online?

-Videos
We could have some videos playing in the background while things are going on. I have a few but would love to get others to submit some and send them over.

-Pleo singing - Moo in would work well here as well as other downloaded skits. (suggested by silver)

-Pleo trick/demonstrations - Simon Says? (suggested by Silver)

And finish the meet and greet off with Disco Aibo. I have a few PMS sticks I can load up with the program no problem. Would just need to know how many need one and what sort of aibo they will bring. So we can look like so, but at a smaller scale.


Once that is pretty much done we will be open to questions, help and such. I want to make it fun and interesting for everyone. No awards will be given this time around as we are testing the waters to see what people like the best. That will give me time to figure out how many want to compete and then start adding the awards to the mix. I will also want to chat with the ones going about creating a pleo/aibo skit that will be posted online and judged. These being a lot harder to make will eventually be held once a year with award and all :).

As always suggestions and ideas are welcome. This is for everyone, so bring your bots if you have one :).

I will be taking Bobby my 210 aibo and Lucas my Pleo.

I was even thinking when the aibos are on wifi we could do a balloon popping contest. I can totally make a head harness that can have a pin at the end of it and goes for the balloons. Pretty much whoever pops the most would win (during a certain time limit). Was thinking wifi would be best so we are controlling them and less chance of damage on the bots if they were to collide :) (an idea).

I tried looking up the movie intro for Metal Gear Solid 2 because this was one of the most blatant uses of the Nanohex Technobabble I talked about in my last post. In watching this again I noticed one aspect of the hexagon that I had completely forgotten: its presence in the chemical forumulas that are briefly sketched out amidst the flying text and diagrams. It's been a long, long time since I spent any time with chemistry and so I'm curious if these formala diagrams are legitimate or just another example of the hexagon usage for fanciful technology purposes.

No matter what though you'll see hexagons aplenty here, and perhaps after watching you'll start recognizing their appearance in numerous other presentations.

Does anyone who reads this journal have any experience with art commissions? Someone asked me if I take them, and I'd really like to say yes, but I don't know where to start. I think I've asked this before. ANY information you may have (even if you were just on the buying end) would be beneficial at this point. I need moneys XD

·PayPal Accounts: I know I need the Premier Account or whatever, but I don't understand some of the stuff that's listed on the site...You can't receive more than 5 payments to that account in a 12 month period? Am I understanding this correctly? How do most people take money for commissions? This can't be right.
·Rates: How do artists determine their rates? I know that some people find an artist at the same "skill level" as themselves and just base it off that, but I can't think of anyone at the same skill level as me XD Everyone's either better or...not better :P If you guys have any tips or can think of anyone I could base my rates off of, that would be really helpful as well.

So, I've got round trip tickets from JFK airport to Pittsburgh, leaving on Wednesday evening June 25th, and returning Monday afternoon June 30th, for $200.

Hot off the presses, or should that be hot off my scanner. Man, scanning a 16x20 painting is a pain! Four chunks to scan, then squiggle it together, and then go back in and touch up the join areas! When I first used to do this it would take me forever and drive me nuts. With lot of practise it's just mildly tedious now.

This commission is for a nifty project that you can read about here http://www.unitedpawsstudios.org/. This concept painting is for the animation, "Where Dreams Come From". I really hope the projects get done as I like the story. And how can I not like a story that has winged horses in it as well as nightmare horses. This pic was a delight to do:) How could I go wrong with the subject matter!

Patient insulted on answerphone

A hospital has apologised after staff inadvertently left an insulting message on a teenage patient's telephone.

The message said Sharon Roberts, 19, was a "smelly drunk with black teeth".

It was left by staff at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, who were reminding her about an appointment - but then carried on talking.

Miss Roberts, of Stockton, said she was disgusted. The hospital said that what had happened was unacceptable and an investigation was being carried out.

The message was from the Genito Urinary Medicine (GUM) clinic.

Apparently looking at medical notes, staff discussed her alcohol consumption, alleged to be 100 units a week, and chatted about her Iraqi Kurdish boyfriend.

One woman in the office said to another: "Oh yeah, but come on, who else is going to have her, bless her.

"She smells, she had black teeth. She's a typical either druggie or alkie because she's dead skinny."

'Right to dignity'

Miss Roberts said: "I was really disgusted when I heard it. I felt physically sick.

"They said I drink 100 units a week but that was a load of rubbish. I don't drink that much and I've never touched drugs in my life.

"I had anorexia when I was younger and that's why I'm so thin. I want compensation and I want them sacked." (yeah I bet you fuckin' do, dole-bitch)

South Tees Hospital NHS chief executive Simon Pleydell said: "We would like to apologise unreservedly to Miss Roberts for the distress this has caused.

"Everyone has a right to dignity, respect and confidentiality and what has happened is totally unacceptable.

"The trust has launched a major internal investigation and we will keep Miss Roberts informed of its progress."
